How
should I submit my video?
We can accept any video format, however we prefer Digibeta.
This offers the best reliabilty and quality. DV-Cam
and Mini-DV are also common, but the quality is significantly
lower than Digi, and we find the tapes are often less
reliable, which can lead to delays in the encoding process.
DV format AVI or Quicktime files are also a good option
if a Digibeta source is not available. A high-quality
Beta SP tape is also a good source.
Tapes should be striped with continuous timecode, ie.
with no breaks. Allow at least 15 seconds pre and post-roll
between sections you intend to be encoded separately.
Material should ideally be professionally colour-graded
to broadcast standards, and the audio should be mixed/mastered
in a suitably calibrated studio.
